RACKHEATH YOUTH THEATRE

theatre coaching for 8-16 year olds

About Us...

Rackheath Youth Theatre (RYT) was formed in 2001 when it was realised that there was an abundance of young talent waiting for their chance in The Rackheath Players amateur dramatic society.

RYT is now co-run by sisters Laura Ferris and Deborah Dance. The term time classes incorporate acting, singing and dancing. Members of the group are given the opportunity to take part in the Rackheath Players shows, put on their own main production in July as well as holding a Christmas review to showcase all their newly acquired skills. The youth theatre aims to build upon existing talents and broaden experience in all elements of theatre craft. The group provides a great place to meet new people and develop confidence in a friendly and welcoming environment. When not rehearsing for shows, the youth theatre continue their training sessions and also hold further workshops.
